15:30 A Comparative Study of Various AM Technologies Based on their Accuracy

The contribution deals with the comparison of various Additive Manufacturing technologies regarding their manufacturing accuracy. Similar machines using the Fused Deposition Modelling technology, photopolymerization and Selective Laser Sintering are employed and described. Nortbert Kácer will discuss at a study where a special specimen was designed for accuracy assessment, and investigated not only with respect to the dimension tolerances but also regarding the possibility to assemble/disassemble specific geometric interfaces. Similarly, appropriate criteria were proposed and used to compare specimens made by various machines.

Norbert Kácer studied at the Czech Technical University in Prague and then went on to graduate at the Slovak University of Technology in January 2015. In July 2015, Norbert pursued the role of Technical Project Coordinator Application Development at ZF Slovakia, a.s. before moving over to role of DMF Designer at ZF Friedrichshafen, located in Schweinfurt. One of Norbert?s achievements was the Implementation of a clutch system for PORSCHE and VW into series production.
