KEX.net - Platform-based provision of key technology insights on additive manufacturing
In the years 2014-2017, three consortium projects on Additive Manufacturing were conducted by Fraunhofer, RWTH Aachen University and KEX Knowledge Exchange AG. More than 500 distinct parts were analyzed to determine whether they are suitable for 3D printing. Technical trials and market studies were conducted for more than 60 parts and 20 business case studies were examined. The conference presentation for formnext 2017 summarizes the main findings from this research. It also offers key insights on additive manufacturing, such as technology and market statistics, which can be easily accessed via 'KEX.net'. Finally, the presentation demonstrates the tools for technology assessment, cost prediction, as well as market and application roadmaps, which can be found on this innovative information platform.
