Second largest city of Bavaria and clandestine capital of Franconia, home town of the famous medieval painter Albrecht Duerer and already in the Middle Ages one of Germany's most important centers of trade, Nuremberg is well worth a visit.

Let it enchant you with its beautifully restored old part of town, picturesque alleys and squares, massive remparts, the Kaiser castle, splendid churches, gothic art treasures to name only a few. Every step will take you further into history. Cozy restaurants and pubs offer just the right atmosphere to relax from a hard exhibition day.

If you have any energy left, you can visit the theatre or opera - or the Kunsthalle (hall of arts).

Nuremberg's numerous museums are also famous visitor attractions such as the German National Museum, the Toy Museum or the home and museum of the renowned medieval painter Albrecht-Duerer.

Also the Reichsparteitagsgelände or the pit prisons are worth a visit.

Live events from pop concert to TV show take place at the Frankenhalle

Got the grip? In this case, you should also visit the City of Nuremberg's own website to find out more.
