Compact Resistors
The compact, intrinsically safe type is based on a high-quality resistor alloy embedded in a special mounting ceramic in a housing made of aluminium profile (continuously cast). In this way, the high energy absorption capacity is maintained. The high protection level to IP66 is achieved by the adhesive connection between housing and closing lids. A new typ of the resistors series 70x70 has been developed for the railway technology. Outstanding advantages are high energy absorbtion capacity, very compact construction and high degree of protection. Industries: • Lifting- and conveying equipment • Printing- and paper industry • Packaging, plastics, textile machine building and mechanical engineering • Wire- and wood processing Applications: • Braking- and chopper resistors in drives with varying rpm. Frame Resistors
This modular type may be used in a versatile manner due to its space-saving construction. The modules consist of frames made from an electrically insulation our metallic material. Ceramic gantries are fixed on these frames so as to avoid slippage. These gantries reliably lead the resistor wire through their grooves even when heat is present. For flexible use, it is possible to arrest the electric taps on the resistor windings. This product line is mainly suitable for indoor use. Industries: • Lifting- and conveying equipment • Printing- and paper industry • Packaging, plastics, textile machine building and mechanical engineering • Wire- and wood processing Applications: • Braking- and chopper resistors in drives with varying rpm • Load- and test resistors • Circuit resistors. Tube Resistors
This classic resistor design type is characterized by its flexibility. The winding, which is made of resistor material that ca also be resistant to induction, if necessary, is wound onto ceramic tubes. The resistor wire is fixed by means of clamps, which are also used also electrical connections, at the end of the winding. Depending on the application some of these tubes may be switched to one resistor. This product line is mainly suitable for indoor use. Industries: • Lifting- and conveying equipment • Printing- and paper industry • Packaging, plastics, textile machine building and mechanical engineering • Wire- and wood processing Applications: • Braking- and chopper resistors in drives with varying rpm • Protective- and limit resistors • Charging- and discharging resistors • Load- and test resistors • Dampening resistors • Circuit resistors. Steel Grid Resistors
The great load-bearing capacity of our steel grid resistors is a persuasive argument. They are manufactured using resistor elements made of high-alloy, heat-resistant perforated plate. Slits are machined on both sides, which create a meander-shaped current path. The resistance value is determined by the width of the rail. The elements are reinforced with stainless steel bars, underlaid with micanite strips, on both elongated sides. Up to 40 resistor elements can be installed as required on support bolts which are insulated with mica pipes. Industries: •Cranes and hoists •Renewable energy •Electricity grids Applications: •Braking, load and starting resistors for electric drives •Load and testing resistors •Grounding resistors •Damping resistors. Band Resistor
For this series type, the individual resistor elements are of band material imprinted in longitudinal direction. Depending on the application, several resistor- and stainless steel alloys with high energy absorption capacity and the ability to conduct heat into environment may be used. Cooling is performed by free or forced convection (ventilators). High mechanical strength and resistance to climate and salt mist is guaranteed by the selection of materials. Industries: •Rail vehicle industry •Trolleybuses •Construction machines •Lifting- and conveying equipment •Research and training •Renewable energy Applications: •Braking- and shunt resistors for electric and diesel-electric motor vehicles •Mining trucks •Braking- and chopper resistors in drives with varying rpm •Load- and test resistors.
