In order to ensure the high expectations of the ID WORLD audience are met, a conference agenda of outstanding quality is guaranteed by the strong support provided by the eminent 16 members of the ID WORLD Technical Committee - all of whom have distinguished themselves as visionaries and pioneers in the autoID industry. They contribute to produce the conference agenda of this year’s summit by advising on topics, as well as selecting and evaluating the most appropriate abstracts submitted by candidate speakers. H. Sprague Ackley
Technologist - Intermec

Sprague Ackley works for Intermec on projects pertaining to RFID and barcode technology and is the named inventor on many AIDC patents. He has extensive experience in standards development and is a recipient of the AIM Dilling Award. He is an active participant with current RFID data construct development including work on the EPCglobal Tag Data Standard and SC31 WG4 SG1 ISO/IEC 15962. Sprague Ackley has participated in the barcode and RFID technology committees of GS1, AIM and ISO.

Dr. Joseph J. Atick
Director - Identity Counsel International

Dr. Joseph Atick is a recognized biometrics and identity industry veteran, having been involved in the space since its inception more than 20 years ago through a series of companies that he co-founded and led as President and CEO from the early development phase through validation and commercialization. These include Visionics, Identix, and L-1 Identity Solutions, where in the latter he was the chief strategy officer until the company was sold to Morpho in July 2011. Since then he has acted as an independent consultant and advisor to CEOs and boards in the identity management industry and governments throughout the world working with companies like MorphoTrust USA on strategic directions and helping nations assess the fitness of their plans for responsible identity programs.

Olivier  Burah
Director Merchandise Visibility - Checkpoint

Olivier Burah has more than 28 years of skills in Supply Chain, automatic data capture, information management systems (ERP, WMS), tracking and auto-ID solutions. Before Checkpoint he was vice-president global sales of Tagsys, where he implemented the RFID strategy of the company. Previously, Olivier Burah worked for UBI (United Barcode Industry) / Intermec Technologies as Managing Director France and International from 1991. In 2000, Olivier Burah joined the software editor Apriso as Managing Director EMEA. In Apriso, he developed the European activities implementing a software to manage production flows along the supply chain.

Martin  George
CEO - Smart Sensors

Martin George is CEO of Smart Sensors Limited, based at the University of Bath’s Innovation Centre, and has been intrumental in developing a class-leading, independent set of algorithms for iris biometrics, with particular application to the field of mobile and small-footprint biometrics. His company has also been an advocate for making iris biometrics an economic and competitive ID proposition. He has a strong background in systems and strategy consulting, specialising in the commercial, human factors and operations impact of ID technologies.

Terry Hartmann
Vice President - Unisys TCIS Security Solutions

Terry Hartmann is Vice President for Unisys TCIS Security Solutions worldwide incorporating people identity solutions; public safety, justice and law enforcement; location/perimeter/surveillance; cybersecurity; and airport operations. In 2012 Terry also led the creation and launch of the Unisys Mobility Solutions Portfolio encompassing mobile applications development, device management, user authentication and advisory services. Terry has 30 years experience in the IT industry and is an internationally recognized authority in the identification and biometrics industry. His opinion, insight and counsel is regularly sought by government and commercial organizations the world over.

Reinhard Jurisch
Managing Director - Microsensys

Reinhard Jurisch is the Managing Director of Microsensys. Initially, his career spanned development engineering for digital flat-screens and later in semiconductor technology. From 1985 until 1989, Reinhard Jurisch was department chief in the areas of test design and analysis technology, especially micro-processor and EPROM technologies. 1990 saw the foundation of an engineering office for transponders and measurement technology, and then the creation of Microsensys.

Dennis Khoo

A veteran in the smartcard and RFID space, Dennis Khoo is the CEO and founder of Xerafy and brings with him 20 years of senior management, regional sales and business operation experience to help steer the company towards its mission He has been involved in leading teams for entrepreneurial start-ups, and has been responsible for the success of many start-up ventures and business from Motorola, Schlumberger and Inside Contactless throughout his career.

Jürgen König is founder and Chief Executive Officer of vps ID Systeme GmbH, a leading European supplier of professional IT solutions for ID management. Over the last nineteen years, Jürgen König has led vps ID Systeme from serving a few key suppliers of access control systems to becoming a global provider of hardware-independent ID management software solutions. Jürgen König has become a thought leader in the industry and the company he leads is now involved in many large-scale corporate ID management projects as well as government-driven citizen ID programs worldwide.

Assurance Director - PricewaterhouseCoopers

Joseph E. Krull is an Assurance Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He is engaged in major security and compliance projects and initiatives. He has been a security professional for more than 35 years, previously serving as a security executive for Accenture Technology Consulting. Prior to this, he was a Chief Security Officer for Fortune 500/Global 1000 companies, an independent security consultant and a senior intelligence and security officer for the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency.

Customs, Border & Revenue Management - IBM Global Business Services

Paul McKeown leads IBM’s Advanced Passenger Analysis solutions team globally where he is responsible for systems to help governments and airlines share information to improve security and convenience for travellers whilst protecting their privacy. In his 30 year IBM career, Paul McKeown has been Global Leader of IBM Smart Card Solutions, European Leader for Wireless e-Business in Finance and held a number of posts in marketing, development and sales.

Peter  Mehring
CEO - Intelleflex

Peter brings extensive experience in engineering, operations and general management at emerging companies and large enterprises. As CEO of Intelleflex, he has led the company's efforts in pioneering on-demand data visibility and condition monitoring solutions for the fresh produce and pharmaceutical markets. He was formerly Vice President of the Macintosh hardware group at Apple Computer, Senior Vice President of Engineering at Echelon, and founder, General Manager and Vice President of R&D at UMAX.

Dr. Gisela Meister
Director Technology - Giesecke & Devrient

As G&D´s Standardisation Director, Dr. Gisela Meister coordinates G&D´s standardisation activities and is a member of the Corporate Technology office C-TO within G&D. She also is the head of R&D´s Technology Consulting Department and thereby she is responsible for the conduction of G&D´s evaluation projects e.g. for FIPs validation and Common Criteria evaluation. Dr. Meister has been employed with G&D since the end of 1989 and henceforth she has made a large number of expert contributions to national and international standardization activities.

Tom Miller, former President of Intermec and past Chairman of the Automatic Identification Association (A.I.M.) and a Partner in The Sage Group, is a Stuart & Deville Consulting Director, responsible for the delivery of strategy consulting services to clients in the AIDC, Mobile Computing and Wireless industries. Stuart & Deville is an international consulting firm serving both private and public entities that are active in the fields of security, ID and mobility and offering a comprehensive portfolio of business strategy consulting, marketing and communications, as well as channel building services. Tom has partnered with public and private companies assisting them in opening up new markets of opportunity by creating higher value business models.

Director Biometric Bus. Dev. - SITA

André Oeyen is the Director of Biometric Business Development responsible for world-wide biometric business development with SITA’s Government & Security Solutions team. He has been active in the biometrics industry more than 10 years, holding commercial and general management positions in industry-leading organizations. Mr. Oeyen was one of the pioneers in the field of multi-biometric authentication systems and was at the origin of the European s-Travel project, the first supra-national pilot system for biometric passenger verification.

Gérald Santucci
Head of Unit - European Commission

In July 2012 Gérald Santucci was appointed Head of the Unit Knowledge Sharing at the the European Commission Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT). Between March 2007 and June 2012, Gérald was Head of the Unit Networked Enterprise & Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) that managed a portfolio of some 50 Research and Innovation projects grouped around two clusters – Future Internet Enterprise Systems (FInES) and Internet of Things (IERC) – and that spearheaded an international policy dialogue on RFID and the governance of the Internet of Things.

Wim Tappij Gielen
Senior VP Global Gov. - Datacard

As one of the pioneers in the card industry in the Netherlands, he started his career in 1969 in developing card related solutions for the banking, retail and health care industry. With the growth of the card industry, ID related projects became a key element of his day to day business. In 1989 Datacard offered him the position of Regional Vice President Europe Middle-East, India and Africa. In addition to this regional role, he led the development of secure ID and Passport personalisation solutions.
